Lindor dark

The chocolate is one of the fattest chocolates on the market. 100g contain 610 Calories and 48g of fat which is quite a lot and shocked me a little. But let’s start at the very beginning.

The chocolate comes wrapped in a blue paper, and is packed in an additional foil. The foil really is necessary because of its melting properties. It looks nice and noble.

The chocolate starts to melt while unwrapping the foil. I don’t like to have my fingers full of chocolate before I even ate a piece. Anyway, you see the creaminess of the chocolate right away, even though it’s dark chocolate. Unfortunately, I do not know how much cocoa there is inside, as it is not written on the paper, as well as the nutrition facts are not there. You cannot ‘break’ the bar into pieces, as it is too smooth. It bends and breaks with no crack at all. The inner life of the chocolate is lighter than the coating; each makes 50% of the bar. While the layer is smooth and melts very fast, the filling appears to be even softer.

It smells rather milky, the filling definitely dominates the aroma, but it comes with a scent of bitterness.

As soon as your mouth gets in touch with the chocolate, it starts to melt. At first you taste the sweet darker chocolate, containing a bitter edge, but it mixes up with the filling really soon. Together they provide a really sweet mixture. You can taste the milky aroma coming from the lighter filling very well, but the bitterness does not get lost at the same time.

I am not sure whether I would be able to eat an entire bar, it might get sickly after a while. Though, this is the creamiest dark chocolate I’ve ever eaten. I’d love to have that version without the light filling. There is another milk chocolate version, as well as a darker one. I might buy them someday…

All in all, it is a really good product, but I would not have expected anything different from Lindt. For chocolate lovers a must try, even though it is a little more expensive than a usual chocolate bar. It is worth it!
